California Diesel & Power was started in June of 1985 by Chuck Uischner aka “The Big Tall Bald Guy.” He would fix equipment during the day and do the bookwork at night. The parts department consisted of a small desk and a shelf. He has expanded the business by taking chances and surrounding himself with motivated people. This is a family run operation that depends on a close-knit network of employees. We spend one third of our lives working and at California Diesel & Power and we want that time to be happy, prosperous and most of all rewarding in all aspects.

The day to day operations are managed by a team that has been at Cal Diesel for a combined total of 50 years. Jill Collaro is the daughter of Chuck and Jannett Uischner and Vice President and Controller of the company. Don Uischner is their son and manages all things related to national accounts and business improvement projects. Lisa Carter is the General Manager and manages all department heads and navigates direction with a clear and precise business strategy. Rob Nanney is the Service Manager and oversees all things related to service and rental. Cal Diesel currently employs 33 talented people with field and shop service, sales and rental capabilities.
