COVID-19 Policy and Actions

We are always concerned about the health and safety of our employees and our customers. We have already been preparing for what we believe will be a prolonged and difficult fire season. We are adding to our rental fleet, getting scheduled maintenance completed, and offering education on preparedness.
During the California state and regional shelter-in-place orders, we continue to operate as an essential business, providing necessary support services. In order to keep our staff and customers safe, we are:
  1. supporting administrative staff to work remotely.
  2. distributing hand sanitizer and sanitizer wipes to field personnel.
  3. sanitizing all vehicle and office handles regularly.
  4. educating our work force, and placing posters around our facilities, reminding employees to stay home when sick and about important hygiene etiquette recommended by the CDC.
  5. eliminating physical contact among technicians and between technicians and customers.
  6. limiting customer time at our counter when dropping off equipment for repair.

This is the link to the CDC site that gives a great deal of information:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/guidance-business-response.html

And here are some specific instructions from the CDC website that we are adopting.

Emphasize staying home when sick, respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene by all employees:

  • Place posters that encourage staying home when sick, cough and sneeze etiquette, and hand hygiene at the entrance to your workplace and in other workplace areas where they are likely to be seen.
  • Provide tissues and no-touch disposal receptacles for use by employees.
  • Instruct employees to clean their hands often with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60-95% alcohol, or wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Soap and water should be used preferentially if hands are visibly dirty.
  • Provide soap and water and alcohol-based hand rubs in the workplace. Ensure that adequate supplies are maintained. Place hand rubs in multiple locations or in conference rooms to encourage hand hygiene.
  • Visit the coughing and sneezing etiquette and clean hands webpage for more information

We are so appreciative of our amazing staff and all the customers that we have had the honor of serving over the years. Our hope is that this will pass over the next several months and we can go back to “business as usual”. Albeit, with more hand washing…
